Hi Tiffany, I have Skype and a webcam alright. Let me know when you're ready but please note that I'll be moving to another city by month end and will therefore have some downtime while waiting for my new provider to set up internet in the new place.
Hi Tiffany, yes of course it would be nice to connect with you and your class. Could you possibly give me an idea of what they'd like to know or ask? Is it as part of a project you re doing? I'm happy to be of value to you in any way I can.
My regards to your students.
Hi Tiffany, we will soon have Internet in our home so it will be easier for just the two of us to Skype and plan. Things take a bit of time to get accomplished here in Morocco. Do look to email me at the address provided as we try to make this work for our students.
I now have Skype on my school computer so let's connect on Wed or Thurs. We are on holiday until Wed. I have an open period Thursday and Friday starting at 2:30 pm. And let's switch this conversation over to email. I can be reached at davidcarp@yahoo.com Looking forward to talking with you. We won't be able to video chat as our school's connection speed is to slow.
I am settled in here at the Casablanca American School and can now work with you to have some of my students Skype with yours. They are 9th graders but should be able to connect with your 7th graders. We are 4 hours head of your there in NC. I would be interested in coming up with a series of questions for our students to ask each other. Maybe you and I can Skype in the next week or two.
Cheers-David
Can we call you on Skype before completing the requirements listed or does this have to be done prior to contact. My students are out of school for the summer as of June 10th. We are beginning a project that is a review of everything we have studied this year. Part of the requirement is to compare their lives with kids their age in the countries we have studied. I think talking with your kids would be a great way to fulfill this aspect of the project. I am happy to complete the list of requirements you mentioned but if we can go ahead with the Skype contact next week that would be great for us.
Tiffany, I would love to Collaborate with you.But this is the protocol for the site and for our schools participation:
The Webmaster needs the following:
Your schools emblem, overview of school (background)
I will qoute him for you: "I think if we ask the school that is interested to first send the first page of information, school emblem and colors before we create
access for them at least we then have some idea that they will follow through...Mike Bellah"
As you can see at the website at Present many schools asked for access, pages were made for them to publish Collaborative projects but they never did anything on it.
e-mail the required information to mdb@chagrinriver.net and cc me in errol@nederburgschool.org
I will send you The Learning Guide of Exponent, also mention to him that you willbe the your schools representative, lead contact. The whole idea of this site is for schools to publish their projects and other schools join them on the venture. Remember the Nederburg Virtual School site will give you ownership on it, you will assist in building the E-library on topic that you think may interest the learners and teachers...
Respond soon. Send pictures of you and your learners, the emblem, Countries badge (if US) not required. Brief info on what you think about your school.
You will be given access and you can start editing, upload pictures, info of your school, launch a project and be a Virtual teacher, Tiffany
Certainly...saduece1 skype name. Certainly that is the main purpose of this website to allow our learners and teachers to collaborate on projects together and to share their school's and countries experiience with one another.
One more thought, I see the Peace Corps mentioned in your profile. I made contact with a Peace Corps volunteer who blogs out of Morocco who could be very interesting for your students to talk to in learning more about the culture of Morocco. His name is Mike and his blog is:

I am in transition between Taiwan and Morocco just finishing up in Taiwan and arriving in Morocco in August. The timing would not work for connecting here in Taiwan as we are 12 hours ahead of you. However, once we get settled in Morocco, the time change will be much less and I would love to arrange to have some of my students connect with yours. I will mark my calendar to contact you in September to design the learning experience.
Hi Tiffany,
I am sure my students would enjoy talking to yours on Skype if our times can work. We are Australian Eastern Standard Time in Melbourne Victoria. My students attend from 8.30- 3.30.
My students are a very multicultural and interested in sports.
Regards,
Janet
