Our Fellowship Program
We provide access to transformative learning opportunities for both our scholarship recipients and Fellows. Our Fellowship Program gives graduate students and young professionals the rare opportunity to work alongside, Education Generation scholarship recipients. Fellows work in one of our 6 partner organizations in Ecuador, Ghana, Kenya, Peru, Rwanda or Sri Lanka.
Our Fellowship Program has 4 main components:
1. Research
The Fellow will work alongside Education Generation to develop research questions to better understand the impact of our scholarship program in student’s lives and their communities. These questions are also intended to guide the Fellow’s experience and allow them to critically engage in our programs.
Research will include meeting with teachers and principals of our schools, and seek to understand curriculum, future opportunities for student and the financial challenges they face.
2. Scholarship Follow-up
Collection of report cards, photographs and letters from our students in conjunction with our overseas partners.
Tracking success of past scholarship recipients to better understand our long-term impact.
3. Community Involvement
Community involvement is location dependent. Activities include but are not limited to:
- Increasing staff and intern’s (sponsored students) capacity with computer skills, the internet and social media
