Preventing Genocide, Promoting Peace: A Podcast Conversation with Arn Chorn Pond

Please Join Facing History and Ourselves, TakingITGlobal, and STAND for a special student conversation with Cambodian genocide survivor and Peace Educator Arn Chorn Pond.

To learn more about Arn, go to Facing History and Ourselves' interactive website, Be the Change: Upstanders for Human Rights. Through video clips of students who interviewed Arn, you will learn about the influences and motivations that lead him to stand up for others and become an advocate for peace among all people.

On April 11, 2008, Facing History will be recording a conversation between Arn and students. Teachers and students are invited to participate in a TakingITGlobal discussion: http://en.discuss.takingitglobal.org/thread/29523 and pose questions to Arn to be asked at this event. We will ask Arn some of the questions asked here, so please post by Wednesday, April 9th.

The conversation will be available on the Be the Change website as a downloadable podcast on Monday, April 28th.
