Government to Recruit Primary Teachers

THE Government is to recruit 9,549 primary school teachers to cover almost all districts in the country.

The recruitment will be handled by the respective District Service Commissions since all primary schools are controlled by the local governments.

The move will increase the number of primary school teachers on the Government payroll from the current 124,630 to 134,179.

Salute to Spouses Scholarship Continues, Can Be Combined With MyCAA Benefits

Early Closure of School Term

A circular released by the Ministry of Education and Sports orders all schools in the country to close on August 6 instead of August 13 as stated in the national school calendar.

The directive also brings forward the reporting date for third term to August 23, instead of September 6. “This will provide two weeks of
