About Me or Reason for Joining the GEC:
My name Suparno Sastro and I am Physics teacher and also vice principal for academic field in SMA Labschool Jakarta. I also active in some iEARN project related to Environment. The first iEARN international meeting is iEARN Bridge Conference in Lebanon 2005 and I presented “Teaching Values through Physics” and also met Bob Hoffman and Eliane Metni on there. After involve in several projects on iEARN I try to focus on Environment aspect that can be match with my background. In iEARN Conference 2006 in Enschede the Netherlands and iEARN Conference 2007 in Egypt, I presented about tsunami and still active to get involve on Natural Disaster Youth Summits project.

This conference really awakening me from the project that I had involved before and hopefuly it will gives me an inspiration about how to collaborate each other and how to share the knowledge and experiences with others.
