Hi George - sounds good to me though may I suggest that my grade 11 is would be a better suited for this exercise. They would have some ability to respond effectively and it would extend them in ways that would very productive.

Hi George - sounds interesting though sadly my current course does not lend itself to studying colonialism/ postcolonialism at the moment. I would like it to do so as that is my area of interest and I am moving my poetry unit towards that. I will teach the Poetry of Conflict in Q3. Currently we are doing Macbeth and I am setting a task in which students will re-set the play into a contemporary context. I can refine the brief so that it includes colonial/ postcolonial themes of political domination and resistance (Scottish/ English). Or we can design a task together that both groups can work on and is not necessarily text dependent.

Thanks George! I don't have my own class at the moment, but can easily put you in touch with a few Australian Grade 2 teachers through the #globalclassroom project!

Cheers,
