Kavita Mathai said… Hi George - sounds interesting though sadly my current course does not lend itself to studying colonialism/ postcolonialism at the moment. I would like it to do so as that is my area of interest and I am moving my poetry unit towards that. I will teach the Poetry of Conflict in Q3. Currently we are doing Macbeth and I am setting a task in which students will re-set the play into a contemporary context. I can refine the brief so that it includes colonial/ postcolonial themes of political domination and resistance (Scottish/ English). Or we can design a task together that both groups can work on and is not necessarily text dependent.
