The Dash Poem, by Linda Ellis I read of a man who stood to speak At the funeral of a friend He referred to the dates on her tombstone From the beginning to the endHe noted that first came the date of her birth And spoke the following date with tears, But he said what mattered most of all Was “the dash” between those yearsFor that dash represents all the time That she spent alive on earth. My passion is compassion for students globally. One of my philosophies about learning is that it needs to involve the consumers of our educational practices the students.

Empowering students to have a voice in their own educational experiences must occur in order for the learners to fully develop a sense of educational worth to then be reproduced for future generations of educational models of methodology and policy.
