Skype/voice-conferencing in classrooms...

Hi world!Unfortunately the school that i teach in blocks the Skype site in such a way that we are unable to download it. Upon investigating....i was told that Skype is too risky and that 'predators/nasty folks' could potentially 'hack' into when kids are video-conf'ing and potentially do nasty things! Is this true or absolute rubbish? I need rock hard evidence guys to take back to my school if I'm going to persuade them. Please help me! Brendan ;)See More

"Dear Brendan: Have you asked the student what he/she likes to do or get involved with. Find out what ' turns him on '. Assuming he likes baseball. Use that to help him with math. If he likes music, you can use the tempo to help him also…"

Children who lack empathy...please help!

Dear fellow international collegues, please take the time to read the follwing:A collegue of mine is currently teaching a gr 3 boy (aged 8) who severly lacks empathy.
