The International Insider, a school newspaper in which students from CSI High School collaborate with students from around the world, to write, edit, and publish. WE have just gone live on the web with this as well so you can visit us at http://theinternationalinsider.com
Our students are working with LIFE organization in Buenos Aires, Argetina to learn about the plight of children who live in poverty there and are educating others about this as they raise awareness about and money for this organization.
Three of our students particiapted in the United Nations Secretary General's High Summit on Climate Change, where they presented to world leaders about how climate change has impacted them and implored them to take action. They will be continuning this work through their senior capstone projects.
Students in our Comparative Government Through Film course will be creating films about political issues/injustices in other countries.
Students are currently educating others about the disaster in Bhopal, India and are conducting a letter writing campaign to urge that action be taken.
Students in our Percussion Ensemble are working with elementary school and special education students to teach them leadership and about world cultures through drumming and drumming circles.
Freshman students are wroking on building literacy and awareness of other cultures through our school's Giving Project, where they read stories from other cultures to elementary school students and teach a student created lesson based on the story.
