Comment by Kader Adjout on March 30, 2012 at 9:38am Hello,
My name is Kader Adjout. I am the head of the global history department at Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hill, MA, USA.
Anyone interested in Skyping with 11th and 12th grade history students (16-16 -year old) about topics such as conflicts, terrorism or even political current events?
Discussions can be between 30 to 60 minutes and we can try structured or unstructured discussions.
I hope some of you will want to join.
Thank you.

Comment by Lea Zwettler on November 10, 2011 at 9:53am Hello - My 5th grade students will be reading the Kate DiCamillo novel The Tiger Rising this year. Itis an amazing book with challenging but subtle ideas that really encourage deep thinking and is also a great book to use when we begin to explore literary elements. Would anyone be willing to have weekly skype sessions to encourage book talks about it. We will also read Bridge to Terabithia and would be interested in book talks regarding that text as well.

Comment by Veronica Woo on October 27, 2011 at 2:18am Hi!
I'm Veronica from Malaysia. Is there anyone out there who would like to Skype with me for the Northern Writers' event on 5 Nov 10.30 a.m. - 1.30 p.m. ( Malaysian time )? You can Skype with me for as long as your time permits. You need not stay for the whole duration of the event. It's a chance for you and your class, if they are available, to join in the fun here watching a live Choral Speaking performance, and also to get the opportunity to interact with our local English writers! RSVP 2 November, 2011.
Comment by Sebastian Panakal on October 18, 2011 at 10:29pm I connect with schools and introduce them Vedic Mathematics (Vedic Maths has some simple systems to do mental arithmetic; it has nothing to do with Vedas) as a guest lecturer. I also have some school students in India, learning Vedic Maths from me.
Once my introduction is over, I let my learners in India connect and do some peer to peer teaching. I use Vedic Maths as an ice breakeronly.
