We are happy to invite you to participate in the International seminar on ”Teacher Education for Peace & Harmony” from Feb 11 to 13, 2012 at New Delhi, organized by that IASE Deemed University, Gandhi Vidya Mandir, Sardarshahar, Rajasthan, India with the support of Gujarat Vidyapith: Ahmedabad (http://www.gujaratvidyapith.org/),Jain Vishva Bharati University (http://jvbi.ac.in/):,The Temple Of Understanding—India (http://www.templeofunderstanding.org/), National Spiritual Assembly Of The Baha’is Of India (http://www.bahai.in/), Global Harmony Association (Gha): www.peacefromharmony.org.

The venue of the seminar is Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat, New Delhi. 

 

 

Prior to this International Seminar a One day Pre-Seminar Workshop was conducted at New Delhi on 24^thSeptember, 2011.  About 80 eminent educationists, experts in value education, former bureaucrats/heads of various Educational organizations like University Grants Commission (UGC), National Council of Education Research & Training (NCERT), National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), Indira Gandhi National Open university(IGNOU), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), various University  etc. and a number of Vice Chancellors interested in the cause of Teachers Education through Human Values, Peace and Harmony participated in the workshop. They all advocated that only Value based only Teachers education would bring long term and stable transformation of society.

 

Hence, we are pleased to invite you in view of your institutional work and your rich experience in the field of peace & harmony development and Teacher education. Your participation will immensely contribute towards improving the quality of the Teacher Education and more importantly achieving Global Peace through Harmony.

 

 

Please send your Abstract by Nov. 30, 2011 and Full paper upto Dec. 30, 2011.

Dear all,
I am writing to invite you to join our new integrated humanities project for a group of Grade 6-7 students (age 11-13), "Antarctica Expedition". (http://www.antarcticaexpedition2011.wikispaces.com : This website is going to be collaboratively built-up by teachers and students.)


The objectives of the Project are:
1. to explore the relationship between the living things and the environment in Antarctica
2. to explore the effects of ozone depletion on the earth
3. to develop a sense of global citizenship
4. to develop global perspectives through collaborating with international students



Duration of the Project: Jan-Feb 2011



In this Project, we will use different kinds of web 2.0 tools such as wikispaces wordpress.com to do the collaborative works.

I would like to find other classes to "meet" my students in my English classes. They are 6-14 years old, smaller ones have just started learning English, but it would be a great idea to chat and making projects on different topics with other children ( maybe on skype-) from all over the world.It would motivate them very much to learn this language. We could work together on basic topics, like family, our towns, our countries, customs...etc.

I have some interesting festive topics for collaborative projects with you all. They include:
1. New Years around the world
2. Happy Easter
3. Dragon Boat Festival
4. ...etc.
The collaborative projects are very flexible for any kinds of web2.0 tools such as voicethread, google doc, etc.
