This group seems to have faded away.  However, I would love to talk to people about their experiences with video conferencing and share tips and techniques.

My company, Critical Language Service (www.criticallanguageservice.com), has been conducting structured Arabic courses for schools, clubs, homeschool groups, and adult learning groups for about a year.  We use both telepresence and Skype, depending on the technology available to the group.  Our teachers are all located in the Middle East and our students so far have been in the US and UK.

We are particularly interested in knowing if there is interest from schools in expanding their foreign language offerings by using international video conferencing.

We began with a Polycom Viewstation FX system and after 6 years needed to replace it and our school system required us to get a Tandberg. We still do h.323 and easily connect by ip. If you would like to vc with us in K-5, please let me know.

I would like to set up some video-conferencing projects for the fall. We are particularly looking for native speakers for our French and Spanish classes and want to create collaborative projects in other disciplines as well.
