The Global Classroom Project (2011-12)  is about encouraging global connections, conversations, and collaboration between teachers and students around the world. We provide the online spaces, resources, and network to make these connections happen, building a supportive global learning community.
Projects

Global Classroom 2011-12 was officially launched on October 1, 2011, and we are already witnessing our teachers and students connecting, sharing, learning, and collaborating on a global stage.

We currently represent nearly 120 K-12 teachers and 2000+ students from 23 countries, and our participants have begun launching our first projects, including:

There are many other exciting projects and exchanges in the works, and we look forward to sharing these over via our blog, wiki, and project webinars over the months to come.

Who can get involved?

Whether you are completely new to global projects, or an experienced global collaborator; Global Classroom 2011-12 has something for everyone. Many of our participants are keen to engage in their very first global project or cultural exchange; while others are looking forward to building (and running) their very own projects with members of the #globalclassroom community. See our blog for more information.

The Global Classroom Project: 2011-12 is full of exciting, global opportunities.

We are starting to see our teachers starting out on their Global Classroom journeys; exploring new ways to flatten their classroom walls, and building collaborative relationships with other teachers and classes around the world.

This presentation is envisaged as a global conversation - about our projects, our learning, our teachers, and our students. We hope you will join us.
