Co-Presenter Name(s): Sandra Crow

Country from Which You Will Present: USA

Language in Which You Will Present: English

Target Audience (such as primary school teachers, high school administrators, students, etc.): K-12 teachers, librarians, community organizers

Short Session Description (one line): See what has captured the heart songs of more than 75,000 students in K-12 from Nepal to Rwanda and from Alaska to Honduras. Lean how to join in.

Full Session Description (one paragraph minimum):

The Dream Flag Project is K-12 poetry, art, and community-building project that connects students to their dreams and their dreams to the world. It is inspired by the poetry of Langston Hughes and the tradition of Himalayan prayer flags. In this session, participants will learn about the project through video, stills, and many examples of student work. Curriculum resources on the project web site will be highlighted and, to the extent possible, participants will begin to create a Dream Flag on-line. Participants will also lean how the project can help them for direct connections with schools across the globe and across the street that help facilitate collaboration, dialog, and shared goals.

Hi Jeff, this sounds like a wonderful project. However, to enable your session to be searchable can you choose and add from the tags below those that are applicable. Then go up to options>edit your tags and add them in before your existing tags. If you have any questions, please ask. These are the tags to choose from:-

2012Teachers 2012Students 2012Curricular 2012Policy 2012Gaming or go back and check the instructions page again for detail on each of the tags.

Thanks. Got it.
