Searching for organisations which assist teachers in finding partner schools/classrooms/collaborative projects

As part of a research project, I am trying to compile a list of organisations which provide assistance and resources to teachers in finding a partner school/classroom or setting up a colloborative project on a global level. If you have any recommendations or ideas, or can share your experiences with me, I would love to hear from you. Thank you!

ePals and iEARN are the two that come to mind!
Thanks Lucy
Just thought of another..... NAIS Global 20/20 Challenge http://www.nais.org/resources/index.cfm?ItemNumber=147262
Thanks so much Julie for sharing this great resource!
Hi Janice,

As Lucy mentioned, iEARN and ePals are the biggest, most well-known, and most organized. However, there are others:

-Asia Society Partnership for Global Learning
-Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration
-This particular forum in Classroom 2.0.
-Global Education Motivators
-Rafi.ki

These are the main ones. I have a more extensive (ever growing) list that I am putting together as part of an update to this page: http://www2.ed.gov/teachers/how/tech/international/index.html -- which I am working on for iEARN-USA. The site will be updated in time for International Education week in November. I hope you can wait till then! If not, send me a message via this site and I will be in touch with you. This has been the better part of my work for the last 4 months, so I may able to help you.

Adrienne,
My apologies for taking so long to get back to you. Thank you so much for the excellent suggestions. This helps me a lot. Let's definitely stay in contact!!
Best-

Dear Janice,

Connecting Classrooms is an innovative online program that brings together classrooms around the world to create learning opportunities, dialogue and debate around key global issues. Groups of students collaborate together to create focused, high-quality content that helps to shape youth viewpoints on issues like global health, food and agriculture, and climate change. Students’ contributions reflect their realities, hopes and fears and give them a long-overdue voice in shaping their future.

Connecting Classrooms revolves around two key ideas: connecting students and teachers in countries around the world; and enabling children to communicate effectively about major challenges they face and about strategies that they think could bring relief and resolution.

Thank you Khalil! Looks really interesting.

Janice,
We are not as big as these other organizations, but the Global Virtual Classroom program sponsored by Give Something Back International Foundation has a yearly program in which collaboration is encouraged with the chance for cash prizes. There are two parts to the program: the contest partners 3 classes from 3 different places to create a collaborative website about a topic of their mutual choice. The PEP (people exchanging perspectives) clubhouse program is non-competitive and pairs people. They can choose their own age appropriate topics or be given topics by the director.
