Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

New approaches to teaching and learning are emerging through the use of technology. Online global collaboration broadly refers to educators who use online technologies to learn with others beyond their immediate geographic environment to support curricular objectives, intercultural understandings, critical thinking, personal, social and ICT capabilities. Educators implementing global collaboration forge external relationships with others and adapt the curriculum to include global learning opportunities. This presentation will report some preliminary findings from an investigation into the perceptions of K-12 educators who facilitate global collaborative learning and will also provide brief recommendations for global collaboration in teacher education.
