I am pleased to announce that Deanne McBeath will share how the Finding Solutions to Hunger plan has been adopted by her school in Trenton, New Jersey aligns with the Common Core State Standards.

Hello,

My seniors and sophomores at St Paul Academy (MN) have over the course of the last 5 years participated in several different project based learning opportunities with other schools in India, US and Australia. I am interested to know more about how you define Common Core Standards for an independent school involved in such collaborations.

I would love to participate in this session based my experience.

Thanks,

Hi Sushmita,

We will be showing alignment from specific projects to the Common Core State Standards that have been adopted by 45 states in the USA.  http://www.corestandards.org/  Just today there was an article featured in the ASCD Smart Briefs "Common Core Found to Rank with Respected Standards"
You may find that your school may have standards similar.
I just found some great videos by the James Hunt, Jr.  Institute for Educational Leadership and Policy that can help others understand the Common Core State Standards. http://www.hunt-institute.org/knowledge-library/articles/#articles-...
