Dear GEC Community -

Here's a quick update to remind you about important deadlines and resources!

  1. The Paris Conference on Global Education: Towards a World of Solidarity takes place today (about 3 hours from now) in France. I will be in attendance and the convening can be followed on Twitter using the hashtag #GENEParis. Please follow the hosting organization GENE (Global Education Network Europe) for additional information including live streaming at https://twitter.com/GENE_GlobalEd.

  2. The deadline for globally connected projects for the Great Global Project Challenge and Grant is DECEMBER 1, 2016. Your project must support collaboration on academic subjects between classrooms. Detailed information, including example projects, are listed here: http://www.globalcollaborationday.org/the-great-global-project-chal.... Submissions are not posted until we have reviewed them; you will hear from us shortly regarding next steps.

  3. Our keynote addresses from the 2016 Global Education Conference are posted in YouTube: http://bit.ly/2016GECrecordings and general session recordings are available here as well: http://bit.ly/2016GECallsessions.

  4. Finally, we are pleased to announce that we will be assisting with CoSN's Symposium on Global Competencies at their annual conference this April in Chicago. More details will become available about this event and will be posted here: https://cosnconference.org/program/global/

Thanks,

Lucy Gray
