Cultural and Geographic Variations in SM use by higher education instructors with their students
Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
Open Collaborative Research Proposal to identify, discuss, distill and communicate cultural and geographic variations in Student-Teacher Interactions using Social Media. Creation a cooperative group project for examining variations in social media usage across cultures and geography. As educators, we continue to expand our use of social media and our interactions with other from different cultures across the globe. This project will assemble a global group to develop an understanding of variations in expectations around interacting with students via social media. The group will communicate and work collaboratively using a number of platforms and tools including wiki’s, discussion boards, blogs, conferencing and chats.
