Full Session Description (one paragraph minimum):
Games as digital tools for learning is not a new phenomenon, but they have experienced a resurgence in the last decade. Their rise as increasingly important educational tools has matched the increase in distribution methods.
Dan Norton is a learning game designer and founding partner of a design and development shop that focuses exclusively on learning game production. He'll discuss from a design-centric point of view the advantages and disadvantages of games as a learning-objectives based digital medium, with a focus on barriers and opportunities for global dissemination.
