6th Grade Classrooom Collaboration

Anyone interested in connecting your sixth grade students with mine in Colorado using a wiki? I have ~110 sixth graders.

Hi Lisette,
I have a middle school teacher in my school who may be interested. He teaches a global issues course. The students use a wiki to discuss various global topics. His name is James Mcdermid. you can reach him at jmcdermid@jefftwp.org. He would be happy to hear from you. We are located in North Western NJ.

I might be interested in connecting my students with yours. I have 103 6th grade students in Lincoln, Nebraska. What kinds of things were you thinking of having the students do?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. What subjects are you covering in 6'th grade. It is my social studies department that is most interested in connecting. However, i am sure i can find interest from other departments.

Hi Katie,
Unfortunately, I don't have sixth graders during the spring semester. Perhaps in the fall we could do this with our classes. Do you have a list of books you read with your sixth graders in the fall? I could provide the list to the LA teachers and then in Tech we could do some discussion.
