Event Description



  • The main goal of the Platform will be the collection, promotion and dissemination of the mew methodologies, projects and audio visual tools in new and traditional media.
  • Everybody working in media literacy is welcome to become a member of the Platform without membership fee if accepted to promote the Platform and give to the Platform one or more creative projects application.
  • The Platform will offer to the members wide online visibility, events, workshops and seminars and large list of potential partners for international cooperation and projects.
  • The Platform will offer to every member online space and editorial rights for providing information, audio visual promotion of multimedia productions and call for participation through easy and user friendly online software.
  • Open a Media Literacy Market to trade expertise and profit from the synergies.
  • To all the members and visitors the Platform will be open for online broadcasting, forums, blogging, professional and social groups and all other online communication, collaboration and exchange tools.
  • Provides youngsters, educators and professionals from culturally diverse backgrounds and levels of education access for young people to high quality educational materials on media.
  • Introduces youngsters to media production, media history and media literacy.
  • Encourages youngsters to become more media literate using material and tools developed especially for them.
  • Offers inspiration and encouragement to ensure that media literacy is given higher priority in schools, colleges and educator training institutes.
  • Expands youth’s window on the world enriching them with the wealth of other cultures that will expand their horizons and assist them in developing a better understanding of youth and children in other countries around the world and foster tolerance.
  • Gives youngsters access to experimental tools to explore the innovations of the new digital era and invites youngsters to understand, explore and use the available tools of this digital era.
  • Ignites an interest in them to develop cutting-edge skills so they can become participants in the knowledge-based global economy.
  • Establishes a platform for potential synergies between professionals and youngsters with common interest to profit from an open dialogue and a shared vision.

Media matters on all levels of our evolving 21st century global culture. For far too long, only a tiny elite chose what we could hear and see on TV and radio - and too often people were misled and ill-informed despite the best efforts of dedicated educators. Yet today we have a chance to hear and see many new voices, gain direct information and powerful artistic images from media creators without state approval, and develop our media literacy skills. The connection between what we know and where we physically reside is weaker than ever, and we can become autotelic (self-directed) educators and consumers in our search for truth, justice, and sanity.
